In Town
Rides, karts, and a tram.
Downtown packs a lot of fun into a few blocks. Ride the aerial tram for the big view, burn an afternoon on the karts and mini golf, and let the kids loose on the riverside playgrounds.

On the Water

Lake Estes sits a mile east of downtown with a marina, a flat trail all the way around, and easy shore fishing. Rent bikes or paddle boats, or just walk the loop with a stroller and stop at the playgrounds.

- Lake Estes Trail: a flat, paved 3.75-mile loop for bikes, strollers, and scooters
- Easy shore fishing with an accessible pier (fishing license for ages 16+)
- Rentals run roughly May through early October
Outdoors
Elk, easy hikes, and horses.
This is the reason you came. Watch the elk in the meadows at dawn or dusk, walk one of the easy alpine-lake loops, or put the kids on a horse for their first trail ride. In winter, the sledding hill takes over.
