Where is Range View on the Rocks located?

The lodge sits on a private ridge at 7,522 feet above Estes Park, Colorado, about five minutes from downtown and five minutes from the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The exact address is shared after booking; it's a private mountain road, by design.

How many people does the lodge sleep?

The lodge sleeps 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, with 3,300 square feet of space: a vaulted great room, loft library, full kitchen, and wraparound redwood decks with 360° views.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes. The lodge is dog-friendly, and there's a dog wash in the mudroom. Pets must be registered with your reservation before arrival. Estes Park has a leash law, and we ask that you keep dogs well away from elk and pick up after your pet.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Your door code is sent the day before arrival, and early check-in may be available on request.

How far is the lodge from Rocky Mountain National Park?

About five minutes to the Beaver Meadows entrance and fifteen to the quieter Fall River entrance. The Bear Lake trailhead (Dream Lake, Emerald Lake, Sky Pond) is roughly 30 minutes. Note that the park requires timed-entry permits in peak season (late May through mid-October), reserved at recreation.gov.

How is the drive up to the lodge, especially in winter?

The lodge is on a private mountain road with a steep driveway, so please take it slow (10 mph in the neighborhood). There's a flat parking area next to the house if you'd rather not drive up the driveway. Roads are plowed in winter, and we send current conditions before arrival. AWD or 4WD is recommended in snowy months.

How much parking is there?

Parking for up to 3 vehicles. Estes Park enforces a strict 3-car limit for short-term rentals in this area, with no street parking. Garage parking is available, and there's no RV parking on the property.

Is there Wi-Fi at the lodge?

Yes, Wi-Fi reaches throughout the property. The password and door codes are sent before arrival and posted in the welcome book inside the front door.

Can we have a campfire or use a fire pit?

No. Outdoor fires, including charcoal grills and fire pits, are illegal in Estes Park year-round and strictly enforced. The outdoor gas grill on the deck is the one exception, and the wood stove inside is perfect for mountain evenings.
